Rob Fahie

Originally from Ottawa, bassist Rob Fahie attended McGill University, as well as the University of Colorado at Boulder in order to study a dual-concentration Master of Music degree (jazz and classical). After completing his studies, he returned to Montreal in 2004 to pursue his career in music. Since then, Rob has been performing and recording with musicians throughout North America. Rob spent six years touring internationally as musical director for Juno-nominated Montreal teen singing sensation Nikki Yanofsky. With her Rob toured extensively throughout Canada and the world, including performances at many of North America’s most prestigious jazz clubs. He has also performed at premiere concert halls including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and Avery Fisher Hall. Rob has recently moved to the Kootenay Region, settling in Nelson, and has already begun to make a name for himself on the region’s vibrant music scene.
