Paul Hung

Paul performed his first concerto with orchestra at the age of 16 at the Whistler Music Festival. He was a recipient of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s “Galaxie Rising Stars Award” and placed second in the Canadian National Music Competition in 2008. Paul won the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition in 2009, and in May of 2011 performed with 100 other musicians from around the world at the Sydney Opera House in the YouTube Symphony.  He has performed with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Island Symphony, Okanagan Symphony, and will be serving as the acting principal flute at the Prince George Symphony in 2015-2016.  He is a passionate teacher and on the faculty at the Vancouver Academy of Music.
