Patricia Hammond

Patricia Hammond was born on BC’s Sunshine Coast, and studied singing in Vancouver and Switzerland. She has performed as a soloist in major concert halls in Budapest, Turin, Bruges, Berlin and Geneva as well as London’s Royal Festival and Queen Elizabeth Halls. In opera she has been featured in solo roles at the Wexford Festival and the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre at Covent Garden in London. She is in increasing demand as a recitalist and has performed in many festivals, premiering new works and reviving old ones. She is also spearheading a revival of popular songs from 1890–1940, which she has been researching since she was a teenager. Patricia has been interviewed on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 4, and her recordings have been played on BBC Radio 3.
