Pianist Jane Coop is one of Canada’s most prominent and distinguished artists, having toured extensively throughout North America, Asia and Europe. She has collaborated with the principal orchestras of Canada, as well as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, the Seattle and Portland Symphonies, the Hong Kong Symphony and the Radio Orchestras of Bavaria and Holland, among others, in some forty concertos. Her 15 recordings are broadcast by radio stations in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. She is a former Professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the University of British Columbia and is a regular artist at the Chamber Music Festival in Blue Hill, Maine. She has collaborated with international artists at chamber music festivals in Canada, the USA and Japan, over the past 30 years. In 2012, Jane was appointed to the Order of Canada.
