Brie began violin studies at age six. Her course of study was classical but she also loved the spirit and energy of fiddle tunes. Brie is an experienced teacher of violin and of various fiddle techniques. She currently teaches 25 students who range in age from young children to adults. She plays many gigs locally as well as playing in the second violin section of the Symphony of the Kootenays. Brie was born in 1981 and raised in the West Kootenays of BC. She lives with her husband and two children in Castlegar, BC.
