Canadian composer and pianist Anthony (Tony) Genge is Vancouver born, and both a performer of jazz and rhythm and blues, and a composer. He completed his Ph.D. in composition at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He continues to work with fellow composer in Canada, and in Japan bringing the flavour of traditional music into his compositions. His music is performed by a variety of musical ensembles, and has been featured in dance and film. Currently, he divides his time between Antigonish, Nova Scotia where he is a professor at St. Francis Xavier University, and Victoria.
