Concerts in Care Artist Biography
Kathleen Rockwell
vocals/piano
Kathleen Rockwell, K.C., is a lawyer in Calgary focused on securities law, administrative law and research. She has co-authored a leading Canadian securities law textbook for over 25 years. Kathleen’s past board experience includes time as chair of a charter school board and many years on board committees, including policy, human resources and finance.
Kathleen has always had music in her life through singing and piano, and has recently joined a recreational choir. She also has a long history of volunteering in many areas, such as schools, sports, food banks, book sales and archaeology. Her family members share the drive to give back through volunteering with various organizations – even the dog joins in as a pet therapy dog in care homes.
Alberta Concerts in Care uses music to deliver joy to people, while supporting musicians at the same time. The prospect of being part of an organization which combines music and joy for a great cause was too hard to resist, and Kathleen is excited to contribute to such an important community.
