David Gillham

Canadian violinist David Gillham performs as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher throughout North America, Germany, Japan and China, and has performed for broadcasts on the CBC and NPR radio networks. He has been a faculty member at Memorial University and the University of Central Arkansas, and is currently an assistant professor of violin at the University of British Columbia and a member of the Arianna String Quartet. Mr. Gillham has given masterclasses at schools in Canada, the US, South Africa and China. In 2002, he was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in honour of his contributions to the arts in Canada. He performs on a Carlo Tononi violin made in Venice in 1725.
