Craig Addy holds a Performer’s A.R.C.T. from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and a B.Mus. from the University of British Columbia. At UBC, Craig studied piano with Marjorie Hougham and composition with Stephen Chatman and Cortland Hultberg. In addition to performing the traditional piano repertoire, and composing new works, Craig also improvises in a unique style which involves creating music with absolutely no predetermined parameters such as chord sequences or melodies. He is currently compiling a CD of his new music. Because of Howard’s extensive background in vocal and choral music, Craig arranges music for the Duo in a vocal style in which the piano and clarinet are truly partners.
