Aidan Zann Roland

Aidan Zann-Roland is an in-demand, versatile bass player in Halifax’s music scene, originally hailing from Truro, Nova Scotia. A recent graduate of Dalhousie University’s Fountain School of Performing Arts – where he studied under bass virtuoso Jamie Gatti – he now performs regularly with Mike Cowie, Jeff Goodspeed, Rankin MacInnis, Josh Robinson, Roland Grant, and Son Latino, in addition to other projects such as the ECMA nominated fusion trio Voodoo Sometimes. Aidan is proficient in jazz, Latin, R&B, and rock music, and has been featured as a soloist for bass concertos with The Dalhousie Symphony Orchestra and String Quartet. He performs on electric and upright bass.
