Amy Nicholson started cello at age 6 and never looked back. She completed her undergraduate music degree at the Hannover music school in Germany. Performed with the German Chamber Academy, North German Radio Orchestra and was invited regularly to perform in concert series throughout Germany. Returning home to Alberta she completed her Masters of Music degree at the University of Alberta. A recipient of major awards Amy performs regularly with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and is a member of Edmonton’s new music ensemble Violet Collective. Recent performance highlights include shows with Il Divo, Tommy Banks and Rod Stewart.
