Mark Riley

The 2021 ANSMA award winner and 2022 ECMA and ANSMA multi-nominated musician Mark Riley is a former tenor and soloist with the Nova Scotia Mass Choir, Cherrybrook Mass Choir and the Nova Gospel Ensemble. Mark is originally from Lake Loon, Nova Scotia. He started singing gospel music at an early age with his church choir. Mark moved to Toronto to pursue his music endeavors of recording and performing; this included credits for a film soundtrack and many public performances. Upon his return to Nova Scotia Mark released his first solo CD One Step, and his newly-released second CD PM Blue.
Mark has performed on the Classic Duets CD and two compilation CDs as well as a CD with his band, Shoulder to Shoulder. Mark has performed in the TD Halifax Jazz Festival (2022) as well as two ECMA showcases. Mark now resides just outside of Wolfville and performs with the Mark Riley Project, PM Blues, The Praise Messengers, Shoulder to Shoulder, the nine-piece Radical Soul Band and The Mark Riley Jazz Quartet.
